In the spring of 2022, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley community members in Edinburg and Brownsville, TX were invited to participate in the collaborative performance, I Am Them, They Are Me. Over fifty people participated and each person wrote the names of their female ancestors using water on warm pavement. The names evaporated almost as quickly as they were written.
