Projects > Color Studies

These photographs are from a series called Color Studies and were made in the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard in the summer of 2025. Svalbard is at the forefront of climate change, warming six to seven times faster than the global average, leading to dramatic changes in the landscape such as unprecedented glacier melt, increased landslides, and sea level rise. I recorded the colors of the landscape by introducing paper samples from the Color-aid set developed by Josef Albers.
